Night Audit Supervisor

The Night Audit Supervisor is a critical leadership role within hotel operations, responsible for overseeing overnight front desk and audit functions while ensuring accuracy, security, and exceptional guest service. This position works overnight hours (11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.) and requires a dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented professional who can work independently while supervising overnight operations.

The Night Audit Supervisor welcomes and assists guests, oversees the completion of the nightly audit, reconciles financial transactions, and ensures a smooth transition from one business day to the next.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and perform guest check-ins and check-outs during overnight hours.

• Provide prompt, professional responses to guest needs, requests, and concerns.

• Secure payments, verify charges, and adjust guest bills as needed.

• Oversee nightly accounting functions including cash handling, credit card processing, guest accounts, and revenue reconciliation.

• Complete and review all required night audit reports to ensure accuracy and financial integrity.

• Close out daily operations for front desk and food & beverage systems.

• Ensure the accurate rollover from one business day to the next.

• Prepare and communicate a detailed summary of overnight operations to management and relevant departments.

• Ensure overnight safety, security procedures, and policies are followed.

• Serve as the on-duty supervisor during overnight hours.

• Previous hotel front desk, night audit, or supervisory experience preferred.

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Dependable, disciplined, and self-motivated.

• Flexibility to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.

• Physical mobility and stamina required.

• Must be able to pass a background check.
