Night Audit/ Guest Service Agent Overview:
The Night Auditor / Guest Service Agent plays an important role in supporting the overall operation of the hotel and providing a welcoming experience for our guests. This position will primarily work the overnight Night Audit shift, typically from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., with the flexibility to cover approximately one to two Guest Service Agent shifts per week based on the needs of the hotel.
The ideal candidate is dependable, self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently during the overnight hours. Primary Night Audit responsibilities include welcoming and assisting guests, completing overnight front desk functions, processing and reconciling daily transactions and receipts, preparing guest bills, and ensuring the accuracy of the hotel’s daily financial activity.
During Guest Service Agent shifts, this position will provide front desk coverage, assist with guest arrivals and departures, respond to guest questions and requests, and help ensure a positive and professional guest experience. Flexibility, strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to transition between overnight audit responsibilities and daytime front desk operations are essential for success in this dual role.
Responsibilities include:
Greet and thank guests in a sincere, friendly, and professional manner while providing attentive service throughout their stay.
Check guests in and out of the hotel, assign rooms, prepare guest bills, and complete related front desk and administrative responsibilities.
Answer incoming telephone calls and respond to guest questions, requests, and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Post charges and payments accurately to the appropriate guest accounts and ensure information is properly recorded.
Complete all required duties and tasks according to established daily and/or Night Audit checklists.
Communicate important guest information, requests, and operational updates to appropriate departments and team members to ensure continuity of service and guest satisfaction.
Anticipate and respond to guest needs, working to resolve concerns and create a positive overall guest experience.
