Task Force Director of Sales

Waterford Hotel Group is seeking a Task Force Director of Sales to provide dynamic sales leadership and drive revenue growth across our diverse portfolio of hotels. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced hospitality sales professional to step into key leadership roles on an interim basis, supporting properties during transitions, openings, or special projects.

Specific qualifications for the role include:

  • Identify customer business requirements and craft tailored offers that increase revenue share for the hotel.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key accounts to boost customer satisfaction and account revenue.
  • Use professional sales techniques to negotiate optimal terms and conditions that satisfy both customer and hotel needs.
  • Monitor achievement of objectives for the sales team and take appropriate action to address shortfalls.
  • Achieve annual hotel revenue goals as established in the annual budget.
  • Develop and maintain annual marketing plans with measurable, targeted initiatives to grow each business segment.
  • Articulate and leverage the benefits of the hotel to close sales opportunities.
  • Accept leadership responsibilities by modeling effective selling techniques, developing team members, and committing to professional growth.
  • Deliver impactful oral and written presentations where ideas, recommendations, and conclusions are clearly understood.
  • Travel locally and regionally to conduct outside sales calls, promote the hotel, and review competition.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

Job Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience as a Director of Sales or equivalent in branded or independent hotels.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue goals.
  • Strong knowledge of hospitality sales processes, revenue management, and market analysis.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new properties and thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (up to 75%) to assigned properties.
