About This Role

We are seeking an accomplished hospitality leader to serve as Regional Director of Operations, overseeing a portfolio of branded and independent hotels. This role is responsible for driving financial results, ensuring operational excellence, and strengthening relationships with ownership groups, brand partners, and property leadership teams. The Regional Director of Operations will be a strategic partner and hands-on leader, guiding General Managers and teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences and sustained business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide operational and strategic leadership across a portfolio of branded and non-branded properties.
  • Partner with General Managers to set clear performance goals, drive accountability, and foster continuous improvement.
  • Oversee financial performance, budgets, forecasts, and P&L results, ensuring profitability and cost efficiency.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction scores, service standards, audits, and KPIs, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards, company policies, and operational best practices.
  • Act as the primary liaison with brand representatives, ownership groups, and community stakeholders.
  • Support the development, coaching, and succession planning of hotel leadership teams.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance revenue generation, operational efficiency, and overall portfolio performance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive hospitality leadership experience.
  • At least 5–7 years as a General Manager or Area General Manager, with proven multi-unit oversight preferred.
  • Strong track record of delivering financial success, operational excellence, and people development.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with owners, brand partners, and diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience with both branded hotels (Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, etc.) and independent properties is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • This position requires extensive travel and close proximity to an airport.
